Editorial Standards and Sources
Veritas Tax Credits publishes educational guides on transferable clean energy tax credits and on how individuals, trusts and corporations can use them. This page explains who writes them, what we rely on and how we handle updates and errors. Last updated November 4, 2026.
Who writes and maintains these guides
Guides are written and maintained by the Veritas Tax Credits editorial team in Austin, Texas. We do not present individual authors as credentialed tax professionals, and we do not give tax, legal or investment advice. We encourage readers to have a CPA or tax attorney review any decision.
Sources we rely on
- Primary sources first: the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, IRS forms, instructions, notices, revenue procedures and FAQs, and Congress.gov for statutes. Each guide lists its sources at the bottom.
- Secondary sources, labeled: law-firm and advisor summaries and market data from firms such as Crux and Cenet Capital are labeled as third-party and dated. We do not present them as IRS positions.
- What we do not do: promise a tax result, present a price as a quote, or state a rule we could not trace to a source.
How we update
- Each page shows its last-updated or last-reviewed date and the date its figures were checked against the cited sources.
- Rules change. Where guidance is pending or disputed, we say so and link the source.
- When a page is corrected in a way that changes its meaning, we note the change on the page.
Corrections
If you believe a page is wrong or out of date, email justin@veritastaxcredits.com with the page URL and a source. We review reports promptly and update the page and its date.
Commercial relationships
Veritas is a marketplace and advisory platform that introduces buyers to sellers of transferable credits. We disclose how we are compensated in every engagement. We do not sell securities or investment products through this site. Our guides are written to help readers decide whether a credit fits their situation, including when it does not (for example, wage earners with no passive income).
